Friday alcohol exploded on my son catching him on fire. Monday is 3rd surgery. He has full thickness on and completely all the way around both arms and hands. 2nd degree on face, neck, chest and stomach. He will be getting skin grafting Monday. It's killing me to see him suffer from such pain.

You describe my thumb knuckle steam burn to a "t" all of these apply (no feeling/no pain, no blister, tissue black/grey etc) yet medical is poo-pooing it because it's the size of a nickle. Gave me a band-aid. Hoping it heals without a crater at some point.

I suffered a 3rd degree burn on the back of my hand about 3 months ago. Had to get surgery including removal of dead tissue and skin grafting.
