It all started by going to the gym as a skinny person. By taking the hardest classes to challenge myself. By doing internship and learning that I wasn't useless.

I recently granted a request I was very uncomfortable with doing. But because I was afraid of losing my job, I went ahead and did it. I got taken advantage of, and I regret I didn't say no. It's never good to say yes to anything that may get you into trouble. Say no if you are not sure that what you're doing is in your safest interest.

Its easy to standup for yourself, but hard to standup for the right principles. Standing up for yourself only involves knowing yourself, but standing up for the right principles involves knowing the situation that is happening, the people involved, and yourself.

Standing up for yourself without considering the entire context is just an excuse for an easy way out of the problem, a.k.a Selfishness and self preservation.

It's about taking ownership of your life. People will constantly test you. Sometimes in jest, others down right evil and dishonest. You get to decide whether you play that game or not. If you're not happy or doesn't feel right say no. Tell the truth and the good people come back.

I used to be like a door mat, letting people mistake my kindness for weakness, then one day something set me off and I said to myself "No more mister nice guy" and I just exploded, let's just say all my fake friends got the message real quick. Now I can count on one hand the amount of real friend's I have. But I like having a small circle, and if I let you in that circle, you best believe you better be straight up, or your never gonna get a chance again.
