The Megadrive was more popular in the UK than the SNES, luckily I had both systems. Back in the day I had around 30 games for megadrive/mega cd and 10 for the snes - what makes the snes great is the sheer number of must have game's that I have discovered in the years since and now own around 120 games that are all awesome with no rubbish or average games for the sake of collecting. The system is the pinnacle of 16bit gaming and with added nostalgia is awesome today (for us 'getting' oldies!).

The book does look awesome too!

Retro Gamer was probably filled with Nintendo fanboys so not surprising Snes one when it's clearly inferior to MD.
