To this day, almost 30 years later, Chrono Trigger remains my favorite game of all time, thank you for including it.

I apologize for any mispronounced words or inaccuracies. I don't script (obviously) and try to work on nostalgic memory as much as possible. I've been sick all week with a near 101-degree temperature and wasn't all there myself.

King Arthur and the Knights of Justice was a cartoon. I loved it.

1995 I was a freshman in high school. I associate high school so much with the PS1 I kinda forget how many bangers the SNES dropped in '95, and honestly that the PS1 didn't blow up until '96-'97 or so. Those years where different generations co-exist a bit are always interesting.

The year I got the Super Nintendo. My dad bought me multiple games—Donkey Kong Country 2 was one of my faves. This video brought back many memories!

I was the kid that love the Koei strategy games. I remember renting them constantly and when my Western PA grocery store Giant Eagle, shout out to my Iggle Video members out there, stopped carrying video games, I bought Liberty or Death, Operation Europe, PTO, and PTO II. Those 4 games kept my SNES active well into the early 2000s. I was a weird kid. I my SNES from 1992 final stopped working my freshman year in college, 2003, but I kept Liberty or Death, I still have my copy to this day, love Koei

Oh Man, that took me back to the best year of gaming that I can remember. The SNES was peak era for fun in my opinion. That was such an amazing lineup. I played literally every game mentioned and they all have such fond memories. What a great video!! Loved it!❤

Castlevania X on snes is honestly different enough to be considered its own game and not just a different version of rondo.

It even handles differently and has some different mechanics

King Arthur and the Knights of Justice had one of the most badass themes for a cartoon. Just pure rock/metal goodness.

I need this tattooed across my chest immediately.

Secret of Evermore was really good! It seems sadly forgotten, but I loved how you went through different eras, picking up age-appropriate weapons as you went, and the soundtrack was composed by Jeremy Soule, now famous for his work with the Elder Scrolls series. It is really buggy, though, and one of the programmers semi-famously doesn't even know what the secret gourd accessory does. And yes, Zoop was INESCAPABLE. Don't think I ever played it back in the day, but I don't think it was possible to pick up a magazine without seeing an ad for it.

These days I've been replaying Chrono Trigger, and I'm still amazed at how awesome it is. I consider that in the platform genre Yoshi's Island and DKC2 are at the same level of quality as Chrono Trigger. I was very lucky playing these masterpieces back in the day. By the way, I also had DKC3, which many consider inferior to 2 and even 1, but I disagree, it's very underrated. 2 is the absolute best anyway

Dude! Riggs!? The polish on the editing on this video is stellar. Did you get a new editor? Also new Camera? Been watching you for years but this looked polished, professional and crispy. Plus some great games to boot 👍💪👌😁

Man, I loved Secret of Evermore. Square did that team dirty by disbanding it shortly after the game came out because it didn't outsell Secret of Mana, but it was only released in one region with very minimal promotion. It's the first game Jeremy Soule composed for as far as I know (ya know... the Elder Scrolls guy).

I'd love to see that game reimagined. I loved the alchemy system, but it was too easily abused or relied upon that took away from the physical combat, especially late game enemies.

Doom on snes was the first one i played and beat.

It has more of a survival horror feel and some weapons operate different than in other versions.

Chrono Trigger is absolutely still in my top 3 of JRPGs, the soundtrack is a masterpiece. I remembered when I grabbed my copy used from a local grocery store's video rental space for $10 with the box, and shockingly the manual, because they were clearing out their Genesis & SNES games for N64 and PlayStation. I still have that cartridge and it still has the same 1st slot save data from the last person who rented it before I bought it because it was a New Game+ save with overpowered characters and I wasn't deleting that.
