The SNES Games I STILL PLAY all the time!

Here are the Super Nintendo games I typically play when it’s just for fun. It’s a mix of hidden gems, common games and personal favorites.

Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest.


I play that game every year. Easily one of my all-time favorites. The music.. the artistic style.. the fluid gameplay design. It's just a perfect game through-and-through.

Actually there are many Snes games I still play today. It’s crazy how many quality game there was on the SNES.

The DKC series was by FAR my favorite growing up. I love playing them all, but personally I think DKC 2 is the best of the 3

Currently playing through FF3 for the first time. Turtles in Time is almost 100% of the time, the first game I pick up anytime I want to play on the SNES.

The Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past will always have a place in my heart. I go back and play that quite a bit, such a great game :D

only thing i'm yelling about is not mentioning the tremendous music/OST in Donkey Kong Country. all love brother but man, that's a big part of the game's legacy!

SMB 3 is one of those games you start out trying to discover everything but soon find yourself just wanting to survive lol.

I just started playing Yoshi’s Island for the first time a few days ago. I feel so stupid that I never gave it a chance before. Always just saw it and said “I don’t want to play exclusively as Yoshi.”

I play Actraiser every year, that game is so unique and there is nothing like iit in modern times.

“U.N. Squadron” has that art style because it’s an anime game: it’s the “Area 88” game. For some reason, they changed the name when both the arcade game and the SNES port were released here. I think maybe they thought that people would think that it’s a game where you fight aliens.

Super Metroid, easily my favorite game on the entire system. After that, Super Castlevania, TMNT Turtles in Time, Ninja Warriors ( SO glad for the new game on the switch), Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past, Chrono Trigger, Actraiser, Demon's Crest, Mystical Ninja, F-Zero... god I could go on and on and on.

The SNES is my favourite console and I clicked on this so fast when I saw it! Also, that minecart level in DKC always kills me so many times!
