In 2004 my dad got a loaded 2004 F-150 Lariat with 5, 000 miles on it. The owner of the dealership had been driving it, but it still smelled and looked brand new. It was marked down from $39, 000 to $25, 000 just because it had 5, 000 miles on it. Those were the times!

They don't make trucks anymore. They make luxury sedans with 4ft beds

1. Too expensive to purchase

2. Too expensive to put fuel in

Because they went from being 40-50k for a top of the line truck to a 100k truck with a 10k mark up plus full dealer fees 😂

I spent money fixing up a 85 Chevy 2500 instead of buying these new junk trucks and couldn’t be more happier

There is no way on Earth I am going to pay a luxury car price for a pick up truck. These buffoons priced themselves out of the market

If they wouldn’t be $100k their sales wouldn’t be down

Nobody wants to pay $100k for a truck that won't make it 100k miles. You think the 20 year old tundra I buy for $15k is going to make it another 15k miles? Yeah, it is.

No wonder sales are plummeting when the price of a truck is similar to the price of a small house.

They need to make them cheap as hell and drop all of the stupid gimmicks.

Dealership with their "market adjustment" mark up pricing is just compounding the issue.

These new pickups are closing in on 100k that’s my mortgage. Absolutely no way am I pay 80-100k for a pickup that will rot out in 10 years.

It's because full size pickups are Just Glorified Luxury trucks there not made for Work anymore in my opinion

Who's buying a $50-75000 truck to throw lumber or concrete blocks in the back of it when there are infinite used trucks you can throw a good motor in and go on down the road.

Nobody's ever going to want to buy a diesel truck with DEF if they can get a pre-DEF one.

The only reason anyone's buying any of these luxury trucks at all is because of the ability to accelerate depreciation on them. A simple change in the tax code, and they are done.

I hope they fix the Chicken tax and let small trucks come back.

Love for the pickup truck has not been lost by the customers, but instead was lost by the manufacturers and engineers that make them
