Theories of Everything with Vernon Neppe

Here, Dr. Neppe describes his criteria for a theory that can explain consciousness in terms of modern science. He challenges the skeptical, or naturalist, position that the a priori probability of psychic phenomena is close to zero. Instead, he maintains that a true theory of everything must include what parapsychologists call psi. He also claims that theories of consciousness must include the infinite. He draws upon infinity as a way of resolving the incompleteness theorem of Kurt Friedrich Gödel. He also differentiates between feasibility and falsification regarding theories of everything.

New Thinking Allowed host, Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD, is author of The Roots of Consciousness, Psi Development Systems, and The PK Man. Between 1986 and 2002 he hosted and co-produced the original Thinking Allowed public television series. He is the recipient of the only doctoral diploma in "parapsychology" ever awarded by an accredited university (University of California, Berkeley, 1980). He is also past-president of the non-profit Intuition Network, an organization dedicated to creating a world in which all people are encouraged to cultivate and apply their inner, intuitive abilities.

I imagine a Venn diagram of 3 spheres where this 3-dimensional space-time-consciousness overlap. Our current existence, or reality intersection, lies on the curving plane where 3D-space, moment in time, and our singular consciousness meet. If the spheres are also spinning (and in a vortex the 3 spheres would also be spinning about each other), it is an evolving plane of existence. One could conjecture that any number of realities can occur as we experience the revolving 2D edges of time and consciousness. Then there is the matter of escaping the plane....

Dr. Neppe is a neuropsychiatrist, Tom Campbell is a physicist, but their conclusions are very similar. The main difference is that Tom is an experiencer with decades spent doing repeatable OBE experiments to derive his TOE. Tom suggests in his books that everyone needs to derive their own TOE in their own life and that is exactly how it must be since we are all in our own datastream with areas of consensual reality.

This. your forum New Thinking Allowed,  needs broader viewership Jeff. Erich Fromm would see the hope for humanity via New Thinking Allowed. He saw television as the greatest tool devised for the increase and uplifting of human intelligence and was appalled by what it was doing. What you've got going on here opens the occulted discourses in academia to those planted outside higher learning by the socio-economic restraints. Thank you thank you thank you. Bravo Jeff, bravo! And yes, I am in agreement with the below post that Tom Campbell would be a quality interview, so would Peter Russell, Chris Langan, Robert Lanza, Rupert Sheldrake, Dennis McKenna, Bruce Lipton, Nassim Haramein - however I think a conference - much like the one they held in Solvay in 1927, is needed - but with broader participation. It's time for the traditionalists to shed their fears; - the planet and it's populations are screaming for answers the traditionalist, or the Neo-Kantian technocrats as I refer to them, have created. New thinking, which would include them, is needed for unifying, peaceful and nature (natural systems) based corrective solutions. This is great what you're doing here - - - - I'm very very exited about it and it's potential. Don't stop - expand!

And thank you Jeffrey.
Are there any plans to interview physicist Thomas Campbell?
TC's big Theory of Everything does not require "gimmel"or "fairydust" to accurately describe consciousness & reality and uses only two easy assumptions.

It seems to me that the term "theory of everything" is just another way of saying the word religion. Metaphysics takes many forms. I'm on the fence regarding theories of everything. I'm not sure we human beings possess the intellectual capacity to truly represent reality in one theory. In fact, we might not be able to truly model reality with multiple theories. Our intellectual capacity might forever bar us from this sort of feat.
