Talk’s Ian Collins is joined by Conservative MP Tobias Ellwood as Rishi Sunak announced the General Election will take place on July 4.

There had been speculation that Nigel Farage could return to frontline politics for the national vote.

Reform UK’s honorary president on Thursday said he will focus on getting Donald Trump re-elected rather than stand as a candidate.

Tobias reacts to the news, saying: “It says something that the party that he’s trying to promote, he’s not even willing to stand for.”
