Kars from Part 2 of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure becomes the ultimate life form... but does that mean he also has a stand like Jotaro or Dio, but just not know it?

I think that Kars as an Ultimate Life form might not have a stand but his body might have properties of stands. Just imagine him being able to stop Star Platinum's strikes with his own hand like it's nothing

I like how Joseph always had Hermit Purple and just didn't know about it because that shit would have made Part 2 so damn trivially easy for him.

I always liked to think that he never had a stand for the sole reason that he never knew what a stand was. Like, kars should have the abilities of every life form on earth, and some people are born naturally with stands, so if kars knew about a stand, he could probably manifest the perfect one.

There is this novel where Kars gets back to earth
How you may ask? When Pucci had kept on reseting the universe multiple times, all the times Kars had landed on Mars (first Kars later came on Mars). Kars built a rocket out of 100s of himself and got to Earth. He then got a new power which was to steal stands and Dio was ruling over earth and mate just stole his stand

I'd say he didn't have a Stand in Part 2, but he has the potencial to become a Stand user since Kars used the Stone Mask to become the ultimate life form. In an extra chapter from Steel Ball run it is said that powers like the Stone Mask can be the first step to aquiering a Stand.

yes, it would make sense for kars to have every stand that has existed up to 1939

Ultimate life form Kars could manifest a stand if he wished. He just needs an example

I imagine there’s an Araki interview from the 2000s that was translated from Japanese into Esperanto for European magazines in cities with less than 2, 0000 people, where he says “I guess, if I was to write Part 2 again, I think it’d be fun to make the audience question whether the Pillar men have stands of their own or not. They are not human, and have many abilities humans don’t, including traits that are an evolution of the vampires of Part 1, but I could leave hints that maybe Kars was the first of them to naturally develop a Stand, then teach AC/DC to achieve one, which they pass on to Wamu, but not to Santana, but never say it outright. For instance, the Brilliant Bone Blade is absolutely not a Stand Power, and neither is Ultimate Kars, and digesting people and rearranging their bodies is an ability of all Pillar Men. Actually, perhaps it’s the Stone Mask itself that is Kars Stand, and he surpasses the power of Stands once he becomes the Ultimate Life form. Yes, that’s an idea I like very much, haha.”

Araki said in an interview that if the crusaders went back in time to Part 2, they would see Hermit Purple wrapped around Joseph’s body. If that is true, and Kars never commented on it, I doubt he had a Stand.

Some people also argue that you can get a stand by mastering an art, for example Tonio who wasnt born with a stand, but received his by mastering cooking. Considering this you could say that by mastering Hamon you can obtain a stand Like Hermit Purple, or the Passion, it would bei possible that Kars Had a stand Like this, since he instantly mastered Hamon.

I always had the theory that the vampirism worked as some kind of a premature stand ability, giving everyone the same set of vampiric abilities + one special one that is one unique to their "user", like stands does.

For example: Dio having a unique freezing ability, Wamuu having an unique control of wind, Eisidisi controlling fire, Kars light, even minor vampires like Jack the reaper having the ability to summon knives.

Man is the pinnacle of *PERFECTION*, of course he can have all stands.

Kars is thematically related to the concepts of evolution and ancestry. Ultimate Kars represents the epitome of earthly life, but the stand virus is inherently unearthly.

Araki said himself that if Kars knew stands existed, he would have given himself one

I think he did. Like the other killer men we saw kars has an ability called a mode that only he can do. Which I say were their stands. Like with santanna who was able to learn an entire language after hearing just a few sentences

This is easily answered in the LN, he had a total of 7 stands

I don't think he did, but you know who definitely did and didn't realize? Speedwagon. Man had an innate ability to understand and verbalize everything happening.

In the manga volumes (the new books with the fancy covers) at the end, there’s a written page of Araki with fun facts, and one of them is hinting that Lisa Lisa had a stand, and all Hamon masters gain stands through Hamon mastery

Kars' weird squirrel hand moment was basically Giorno's Stand power come to think of it. I think I've also heard the argument that all the Pillar Men had stands.

Kars was already so terrifying, giving him a stand would let him become invincible.
