The reason you dont get the side dish is, cag kebabı is usually served untill you say stop. So it will keep coming şiş by şiş untill you ask them to stop. So they dont want you to get filled with sides. Thats the whole thing bout cag kebabı. I think, just because they know that you are a foreigner they just served you one and you had to ask for more.
