everytime i try and copy the file to the system32 folder it says that another program needs to be closed and cant copy the file

First: Your voice is so soothing! I was so stressed out from trying to fix my Origin account on my new pc and as soon as I heard your voice, I knew this would work lol. Second: Yes it worked. Origin finally downloaded. I had to right click the icon and "run as admin" because initially it said it couldn't display the window. But it finally worked, so thank you so very much! I needed this walk through lol.

Great tutorial! I would say the 2nd method is the go to. No reason to download the dll for a Microsoft c++ redistributable from any other site besides Microsoft. Especially if you're not familiar with the site.

Also if you have a ×64, install the Microsoft c++ redistributable for both the x64 and ×86 (×32). x64 alone won't correct the error. @ least not for Origin.
