The ap of the demons can ignore the armor of the chosen. On the other side the Nurgle great weapons have no magic attacks to counter the Bloodletters physical resistance.

Considering this match up HEAVILY favours the blood letters, the Nurgle Chosen did far better than I expected. Just think about it, the bloodletters have AP to cut through the chosen's armour, have heavy anti-infantry bonus, and have physical resistance. The Nurgle Chosen's budget is spent on armour that gets countered, lacks any bonuses like anti-infantry, and their AP is completely wasted against a largely unarmoured target. And without magic weapons they can't bypass the physical resist.

Turns out, poison and high melee defense is a good combo against a glass canon

One thing to consider is that the testing format here very much favours the Bloodletters due to the Hellblade ability getting a greater potential benefit. Like in this one, the chosen furthest away seem to have gotten teamed up on by two Bloodletters due to a messy engagement, allowing the Bloodletters to overwhelm that unit and get increasingly powerful whilst going through the other 2 Chosen.

In a clean 1v1, this actually tends to go in favour of the Chosen.
