The medical industry needs to address the issue of administering vaccines to infants and toddlers. Currently, there seems to be a lack of consideration for the fact that the discomfort caused by needles can be particularly unbearable for these young children due to their highly sensitive pain receptors and soft skin.

If immunizations are such an angelic act to protect children from deadly diseases, it should also be an angelic act to minimize pain and discomfort during the procedure.

It appears that nobody is practicing what they preach when it comes to pain management during such procedures, whether it's shots or blood draws.

Older children, teenagers and adults are able to withstand the pain and discomfort as it is mild and temporary since they can program our minds to perceive that it's not so hurtful and it's important for our health.

Younger children do not have the capacity to endure pain and discomfort in the same way adults can. The practice of administering more than one shot simultaneously to infants and toddlers is very risky, all in an effort to avoid the inconvenience of multiple clinic visits for additional vaccines.

It is a very twisted and sick system we are all subjected to. The medical system is supposed to be sincere, flexible and compassionate with administering medical procedures and disclosing results but instead it is so fundamentalist, orthodox, unapproachable and cold.
