Why do I feel like Toph pulled an uncle Iroh and went into the spirit world. She wasn’t particularly spiritual, but she was more connected to her element than any other bender of her time (especially in Korra, where she could supposedly seismic sense people across the world). Don’t know if it’s possible but I could see her becoming a sort of spirit of nature inhabiting the swamp at the end of her life. Course I could be wrong and she just out lived everyone out of stubbornness but still I think it’s cool end for the melon lord.

The most interesting thing for me is Genji being a sand bender and how they're treated could play a huge part in his decisions in the story

I think the misidentification of Avatars by the Earth people, can be a nod to the fact that they are the least spiritual of the nations. So it makes sense they wouldn’t always get the Avatar stuff right.

Idk why but zuko passing makes me so sad, he was always my favorite firebender and knowing whay he went through im glad he lived a good peaceful life

I dont think Toph would disapprove of Bolin lol. If it means adding lavabending genes to her metalbending genes through Opal that would be awesome lol.

Mako being divorced is literally the most in- character, unsurprising thing ever.

So katara passed peacefully in her sleep after the birth of her third great grandchild I take it? The fortune teller continues to be correct.

The passing of Sozin’s Comet and the debate about the Fire Nation and Air Nation relations is interesting because I know one of the things in Legend of Genji that had been happening was the Fire Nation had been paying reparations to the Air Nation for their ancestors’ part in the Air Nomad Genocide

This is my first time hearing of Legend of Genji, but what I'm interested the most in so far is also how Korra died. The fact that she was killed in Ba Sing Se and everyone knew the next Avatar would be born in the Earth Federation can't be a coincidence.

Your idea of the Avatar having a non-bender sibling has got me thinking: Could that involve a revival of the Equalists?

Given what Kyoshi was able to learn from the immortal assassin, I fully expect Toph to still be alive for at least another hundred years. If anyone would keep living just to spite death, it’s toph, and it would be so cool to see her make an appearance

I don't really like the idea of Korra dying so young. Aang dying at age 66 is acceptable because he's past his prime and lived a long happy life after his series. But Korra dying at 30 would just be unpleasantly nihilistic and insulting to the character because after all she went through in the series, she more than earned a long happy life.

One thing to remember when thinking about teenage relationships winding up in marriage is the era that is being depicted. If you look at people 50 years ago or more, almost EVERYONE married whoever they were dating when they were 18, no matter if it was a good relationship or not. You didn't have dating sites back then, your pool of options was extremely limited. Like, my own mother got married at 19, because that was just what you did back in the 60's and before.

So following tradition, it’s likely that the hardest element for Genji to learn will be Fire.
Roku struggled with water
Aang struggled with earth
Korra struggled with air

So it makes sense as all the other elements especially earth focus on bending what’s around you while fire draws from ones inner energy.

There's just something so unbelievably sad about Katara outliving two avatars

Wow, I heard about this project years ago, seems a lot more developed now
I’m really Curious about genii himself, being the avatar already makes him unique, but the fact he is sand bender kinda adds a extra layer to his skills and background.

Honestly, I can see Toph being like Bumi. Like the super old person.( Ofc she's trying to live longer than Bumi to prove that she's the most powerful earth bender 🤣) She's just annoyed that she live to see three avatars but also kinda sad that she is the only one still alive from og team avatar.

The earth kingdom misidentifying the avatar could be an allusion to the Chinese government and the Dalai Lama… the 14th and current Dalai Lama has stated that the cycle of reincarnation of the Dalai Lama might end with him out of fear that the Chinese government will use it’s power of approving the reincarnation to appoint a figurehead to sway the religious people in favor of the Chinese government… so maybe misidentifying the avatar is a similar way in which the earth kingdom tries to overreach it’s authority…

I love how a sand bender becomes an avatar. We need more sub-bending type avatars.

Genji will probably be very good at air bending because the use of sand bending is very similar.

Toph could end up doing that thing that Kyoshi did to be 200 years old and she could end up teaching 3 Avatars earthbending! That “worst avatar I trained!” Comment could actually be a bit more viable this time around.
