Frozen gasoline doesn't burn as it's freezing point is -100F and flash point is -45F. The gasoline in the video was heated by the match to -45 and then burned.

So what you're telling me is, we've been doing snowball fights wrong this WHOLE time?!

Unfortunately this experiment doesn't really tests what it claims. When you try to use matchstick like that it can first melt a layer and ignite that... If you want to test if really solid can burn you need to use spark ignition

and this is how you can tell no one told them how the ceiling spot got there

Put the match above the frozen gas, rather than below it. When the vapor pressure of the gasoline reaches zero due to cold temperatures, there is no gasoline vapor to mix with air. Fuel and oxidizer have to mix before a flame or chemical reaction can be initiated

You should see what happens if you light the whole bowl 👀👀

Nah go to fairbanks Alaska during the winter. It drops below -50F but the gas stays a liquid I’ve never seen gasoline in a solid state before until now. Was it just a edit error?

The fumes is the reason it bursts into flames.

Frozen gasoline doesn't burn, neither does liquid gasoline. A lit match will however heat the gasoline enough to melt then evaporate the surface, then the gaseous form will ignite. Then everything will heat up and it will all eventually burn.

Well, since it's the vapors that burn, not the gasoline itself, it only makes sense it would burn.

That is NOT Gasoline, it is Petroleum Spirit.
Gasoline is also known as Diesel which is a light Oil.

Well I see this detail is debated but interesting that according to the video on that gasoline freezes at exactly the agreement point of Fahrenheit and Celsius.

How would I have gotten a coating? The nitrogen will evaporate before the gasoline can melt or sublimate

Gasoline is still a flammable gas rather it's in its liquid form or gas form

Try to cool it with liquid oxygen and then ignite it

You say frozen gas but it's benzine

Lady, you may have condensed LIQUID OXYGEN into the gasoline which is why it bursted into flames like that.
