The New Maxxis Forekaster!

There's nothing like having an extra little hand when changing tires. Maxxis' new Forekaster was designed specifically for the popular downcountry segment and works best on bikes with 100-130mm of travel. The tread rolls faster than a Minion or Dissector which makes it great for said category of bikes, but it has more predictable traction all around than an Aspen or Rekon. Would you run this all new tire on your bike?

I run the old Forekasters on my XC bike for wet and winter riding. Great tire!

When you're so focused at checking out the tire treads, you miss the hands.

Have these on my new bike. Converting to tubeless was a bit of a hassle. Very tight fit so getting the tubes out was a PIA. It also took a few weeks and a top up of sealant before they would hold pressure.
Great tyres though and going tubeless is worth the effort.

I like the part where the hand tries to clean up the sealant on the rim but ends up smearing it all over resulting in aggrevated frustration 👍

Forekaster Rekon will probably be the new standard trail combo

WWC - are you guys mostly running these in the front or rear? I run the old Forekaster up front with an Ikon on the rear of my XC hardtail in dry, dusty conditions and it's been a great pairing. I was thinking of doing the same on my downcountry full suspension but worry this new Forekaster will be too beefy/heavy? Any comments/observations of the weight difference and rolling resistance of the new version? Thanks!

Goodbye Forekaster 2.35, the best aggressive xc tire.

I like MAXXIS tires but I prefer to run 🏃‍♀️ them with the black round tire balloon 🎈 (inner tube).

Maxxis already makes plenty of trail tires, the old ones were go to xc race tires. Now I’m riding Vittoria and much prefer them to the maxxis.

i got a question for experienced riders .it's my first year of biking . I bought two Kenda Kinetics (26×2.35), and it was quite amazing for my XC bike but i know that it's not the best all rounder . Could you give me more information about them best ones for all terrain biking ? I often ride on gravel like 3 times a week for improving ascending skills and once a week i ride on tarmac and always harder than anytime for them muscles 💪

Forget the tire, do a big video with testing on berd wheels/spokes. I need to know if there worth getting on my gravel bike 😅(lauf siegla (leaf suspension 30mm fork) or maybe my mtb's. Pleeease. Not alot of vids online about it and most suck
