Looking at all the weight weenie comments makes me realize that some people actually believe “downcountry” is a thing. Just ride an assegai and a minion ffs… The only grams I care about are the ones I smoke in the parking lot before my ride.

If I don’t have a bmx background, is it better to give up now or buy these tires and then give up?

Maxxis, this needed to be like 850g. The dual compound dissector 2.4wt weights less than this new Forkaster.

What I’ve learned in the enduro world is if you wear pants you are a shredder.

Is there a big difference running this front over day a dhr2 or dhf considering weight is similar?

How is this supposed to fill the gap between rekon and dissector if the updated forecaster is heaver than dissector? Dissector EXO TR 3C MaxxTerra 60 870g. Forcaster EXO TR 3C MaxxTerra 60 945g. What is the advantage and why is it heavier than the most of other tyres? Better rolling resistance because of the knob pattern? Are there any other advantages?

Soooo, what is the choice for a wet weather xc tire now?

The Forekaster 2.40WT was developed around a 30mm rim with a recommended range of 25-30mm. The Rekon 2.40WT was developed around a 35mm rim with a recommended range of 30-35mm.
Question: Why are tires of the same size designed to fit rims of different widths?

New Forkaster or Rekon? Which has more grip, which has lower rolling resistance?

Weight kills this new version. More than 900 grams?! Seriously? My present 2.35 Forkaster weights less then 700… And I miss smaller knobs, which are ideal fo my sandy trails.
