'If I treat you like a human being, everything should be fine' and that's it. You nailed it bro! Fuck pronouns, just 'brothers' in arms 💪

Sarnt before pronoun era: "hey Shitbag!"
Sarnt during pronoun era: "hey Shitbag!"

Shitbag transcends all.

I love how Nikko has the healthiest response to this video. Like straight up, that comment you made about acknowledging that there is no such thing as a safe space, is the first step to actually having a truly safer environment for yourself and others was beautiful. Spot on. So happy to be here ⭐️

Respect is earned, not given. It doesn't matter who you are or what you "identify" as

I agree with what you said in the end Nikko, while you are in the service nobody cares what you are underneath the uniform. We are all the same and are identified by rank and/or last name; nothing else. I had a 21 year career with the Army and learned a lot but we never mixed personal lives with our professional lives. Nor were we judged on our personal lives either. We are judged on our professional skills, attributes and abilities to work as a cohesive unit

Yo I love that point you made. The fact you (someone) realizes that there is no “safe space” then you are mentally preparing yourself and you have taken the first step into actually having a safer space. Not just for you, but those around you.

As a USMC veteran, this is embarrassing! Military is going soft now?

Absolutely agree! Shit like this doesn't need to be in the military. My bf got in trouble one drill for saying "we're all green" or something to that effect and received a talking to n was told that's not ok to say because it's taking away ppl uniqueness or some crap I couldn't believe it when he told me that.

I’m going to say this once: If you can’t take being called a “wrong pronoun” THEN DON’T GO INTO THE F*CKING MILITARY! Thank for coming to my TedTalk.

A safe space 😂 I’m sure the enemy is really committed to us having a safe space too 🙄

Respect is earned not granted, ESPECIALLY in the military.

I agree on this! My family has a military history and they think it is stupid. The military has to be disciplined and tough both physically and mentally but making it just too comfortable causes deaths!

I’m a veteran and I’m lesbian I totally agree with everything you say. I’m glad someone said something.
