The algorithm has decided to gift me your video, and, spookily enough, it was right. A lot of interesting sounding recommendations! My own tip would be Darkmans by Nicola Barker. That one haunts me, though it is extremely hard to describe what exactly it is about.

If you like 100 Years of Solitude(one of my very very favorites of all time!!), you might reeeaaallly enjoy 'The Book of Nights' and its sequel 'Night of Amber' by Sylvie Germain. It is more on the magical side of magical realism, I suppose... It's very strange, violent, gorgeously told, and just.. fully immersive. Absolutely rocketed to my top 10 list 🙃 I'd highly recommend it if you like the peculiar and the beautiful ❤

Thank you so much for this book list -- happening upon your channel is the highlight of my week!! I'm super duper stoked to pick up a few of your recommendations! 🙃❤

I’ve only read two on your list which is odd since I think we’re got similar reading taste.
Lincoln in the Bardo was great on audio with a multi voice cast( have you read Ohio?)
A Hundred Years of Solitude was unforgettable.
Have you read
The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida?

I would recommend Hurricane Season by Fernanda Melchor for dark and twisted South American writing
