300 nits brightness is unacceptable for a laptop at this price point.

The only thing that’s hindering this otherwise Super Premium laptop for me is the rather poor display brightness of only 285 nits and the battery life. There is really no excuse for this on a premium laptop in 2023! Other than these two issues, it is a fantastic laptop which might not be for everyone due to what I have just mentioned. The webcam and mics are clear, the audio quality of the internal speakers are fine. I love the color of the Alienware x16 R1 (2023) as well as the port selection. Thank you once again Andrew for your brilliant review!! 👍😄

Nice for a gaming laptop no doubt. Camera and mics were good. Speakers sounded good. A con you did not mention is the soldered memory. I think many gamers would like the ability to upgrade memory if they want to. Display for a gaming type laptop is very good. The rest of the upgradeability is good. Design with ports on the back is good. Great review.

In addition to the lack of a 4K monitor option it's too bad there is no high-speed LAN port and no privacy shutter to block the camera on this machine.

Can you do a review of the ASUS TUF Dash F15? I wanted to know if it's good for multitasking for work, and for screensharing and video calling. I will use it for gaming for a bit only. I wonder if the battery life is also good.

Is there any downside on having onboard RAM? From My understanding is impossible to upgrade and if they go bad the laptop is basically garbage is this right or am wrong?

I wonder how this would do against the Lenovo Legion 9i, which just recently released. It might be a good idea for a future comparison advantage.

My big complaint is that so much of this laptop is soldered down.

There are 3 options for the display, but no truly high end options. Lenovo offers a 3.2k mini Led on its flagship Legion 9i and Razer offers a 4k option on the Razer 16. Yet another option would be the Oled that ships with the Asus Zenbook Pro 16X.

I am in a situation where i can either buy the Alienware x16 or the Omen 16 with 4080 GPUs. Which one would you recommend? I like the Omen look a lot more, the CPU can be undervolted but the Alienware seems like the more premium laptop but it looks so goofy.
