Using any laptop on a soft surface like a bed or covers blocks airflow and will shorten the lifespan of your laptop. They have vents on the bottom for cooling. I would recommend everyone to get a cooling pad of some kind. They have soft bottom laptop pads made for your lap or on a delicate surface.
