I absolutely agree with your assessment. "Is it a Halloween or Christmas move?" Yes.

Good on Burton to do right by Selick by being a producer on his next project, James and The Giant Peach, as a way of thanks for taking on those duties. Also ironic how they put it on the Touchstone banner for worries it might be too much for their reputation and now here we are today and Disney now proudly calls it "A Disney Film".

People always assume Tim Burton directed this movie, but I understand why, since it pretty much looks and sounds like a film he would direct

This was real talent collaborating with just the right mix of people. No wonder almost everything Hollywood shits out now feels empty and uninspired.

This is my transition movie from Halloween's October horror movie marathon to Christmas' movies. It's such a great movie for both holidays.

It's been sadly over commercialized, but I still love it, AND I WOULD DEFINITELY RATHER WATCH THIS OVER CHRISTMAS STORY!

This is my sister's favorite movie!
It was nominated for Best Visual Effects but lost to JURASSIC PARK.
The film is a box office and critical success, making $90 million dollars against a $13 million dollar budget.

@1:56 I agree with this because, most of your best ideas come when you are not expecting it

Just looking at Selick... @13:00

Tim, did you base your version of Wonka on this fellow?
Be honest, Tim.

I still say this is a Burton Movie, even if he didn't direct it. it's got his fingerprints all over it.
