Wow, 10 years?! I just pulled my 3ds out last night for the first time in over a year. Such a good little system that still has a lot of great games to return to.

The 3DS is one of the most important consoles in Nintendo’s history. It did have an abyssal start but with time, had an incredible library and features that we are yet to see come to the Switch. It’s was a special in a lot of ways and for a good few years, carried Nintendo and was the power horse of the company. Especially during the time when the WiiU was out and nose diving in sales.

The 3DS may still be my favorite Nintendo handheld of all time, it was the system that got me through a lot of car trips and it got me through middle school, so many amazing games and experiences!! I love that little handheld 💙

One thing that makes me grateful to have a 3DS and a collection of games for it is that it's an extremely difficult system to properly emulate. Between the screen layout, the touch screen controls, and of course the 3D effect it's just impossible to get a true 3DS experience on a computer or emulator handheld.

I remember getting the OG model in November in 6th grade, then having to wait until Christmas to get any actual games! I played a lot of Face Raiders that month.

Had SO MANY great times with the 3DS and I'm STILL discovering 3DS games I missed back then.
Nintendo should bring back Street Pass for the Switch.
