A yes, the Italian balance. Either chest, or legs, or body silhouette

A “balanced” mini-dress is like a good conversation; “short enough to retain interest, and long enough to cover the subject.”

I think it’s great to add this more « modern » approach to elegance. Not in anyway a specialist but I would also add too high heels to the no no list, especially in the daytime. I have been wearing high heels for years and though my attire isn’t vulgar, I feel ridiculous in a mini dress and too high heels nowadays and have opted for lower styles
Thanks Anna

“Hasn’t Anna spoken so much smack about mini dresses?” 😂 😂
Got me chuckling over here 😊

I prefer them in fall/winter with tights or layered over an Oxford or turtleneck. Long sleeve mini dresses are easier imo

I was always told short or tight but never both. 😊

I’ll also always a pair of pantyhose and some spandex shorts underneath the dress. It gives a bit more skin coverage and the shorts make sure that the hose stay in place.

It’s so hard for us taller ladies to find proper length mini dresses! I used to assume whatever fit the models would fit me the same and that was acceptable for me too. I’m grateful there are so many talented local designers that are available to hire once my finances are in order.

I'm a very short person and mini dresses can be good to look taller, and even better if you wear nude shoes 💕 But ALWAYS at a length that is comfortable to sit down without showing everything 😆. Sorry my English 😅

i’m a short girl, i also feel it helps. by wearing more “cutesy” patterns, i look more mature than if i was to wear the most revealing dress i could think of to overcompensate for not looking “womanly” enough. generally i like to wear short length dresses with short sleeves and collars. figuring out your kibbe type as a guide for “dressing in your lines” also helps.

Mini 👗 dresses will be for my next lifetime...never was able to pull them off anyway because I always had heavier legs 😂 and felt so insecure wearing shorts and shorter dresses even bathing suits..In others cultures women wear long flowing fabrics to the ground which I always thought were so beautiful..Well it doesn't matter now anymore since I'm over 60 and miniskirts are for the younger ladies fashion..so enjoy your youth and beauty elegant ladies it goes so fast. 💖🧡💛🌷 Anna.

I like this concept of balance but I don’t like all of the extra fabric on her upper sides under her under arm area. I think it’s a better look when when dresses are snug and loose in the appropriate areas

I happen to have great legs. I’m also quite slim. I believe you’re spot on. I love my “mini” or short LBD. It has a jewel or round neck line, it’s not tight: it’s body skimming and I have narrow hips. It doesn’t show skin anywhere. Just my nice legs (my best feature)
