💡 Missionary Dating 💡 I’ve never heard this term but a light bulb went off when I heard this. I was in a marriage of 20 years with a wonderful man who was not Christian. We married in our 20s and now that I’m in my 40s I see that I was missionary dating and in a missionary marriage. It’s no good! I craved community, attended church alone at times and was always in a mission to pour into my husband in hopes of him becoming a Christian. It’s exhausting and not biblical. It also put me in a position of feeling like I needed to lead which was heavy when life had its challenges.

I loved this I’m single and it took me until now ….after unfortunate situations….to go back to waiting until marriage and standing on my nonnegotiables! If he wanted to he would. I don’t have to question or wonder his intentions because he’ll continuously show me. I’m waiting for my kingdom husband ti find and pursue me. Everything shared--on point. I've just started watching and listening to your podcasts. They are practical and real. The dos and don'ts were just a timely reminder of what matters..I will watch it again. Key point--do NOT be unequally yoked or even fooled by pretenders. In all reality where are these men and women of God who love Jesus and willing to commit and lay their lives down for someone? Recently, I experienced some old wounds and have been baffled by it all. It's like I thought I was healed in so many areas just to have revisited emotions and situations that I thought I overcame. Now I am processing all over again--I'm ok with that but it really got me thinking out loud ...like Lord just take the desire of marriage away from me if it's not for me. I'm tired of failing.

I've been going to church for 17 years and it's taken this long to realise and understand how to date properly.
Everything you said makes sense.
In particular what you said about

- you need to be attracted to each other ( have chemistry)
- let the man pursue the woman.
- if he is not prepared to pay the price for you ( commit to marrying you) he isnt worth your time.
- know your worth.

Really knowing your worth & who you are in Christ is Key!
