We quit making maple syrup on April 6th. But almost a couple weeks later the weather changed and the sap started running again! I'm just out in the woods showing how the sap is running long after we ended and put everything away. I hate to see sap running and not being able to harvest it! But you can't win them all.

I wondered if they would run with this weather. I should have went and retapped and saved my season. Keep up the good videos.

A lot of late season up here in Hayward. I'm a total hobbyist, but had a really good day yesterday on a few trees I decided to try out. Drilled some holes and they were flowing. This morning a few drips, so I'll call April 21st the end to my year. Started around March 11th and done April 21st. A lot of stop and start for a while. I'm pretty new to all this, but it's cool seeing the differences from year to year. I wonder if the lack of snow compared to the last two years that I've been doing it had an effect?
