Hey Jake - Thinking of heading to Antigua late March 2023. Can you recommend the best kite spots and any accommodation tips please? Cheers

What! You mean I won’t be going upwind and doing the Jesus walk on my first beginner lesson!!!! Lol. But seriously I have been saving up for my first weekend kite lessons, want to fo a 10 hour course over a couple days!! But in the meantime been watching lots of beginner tutorials to sort of have a better foundation for when I do go to my first lesson I’ll have some knowledge that’ll help when I actually am able to experience these sort of things. THANKS!!!

Interesting. I run a kitesurfing school in The Bahamas. That used to be my first lesson program, for about 8 years, but now I typically aim as my goal to get the student up and riding in 2 hours. We spend 30 minutes, on rigging, theory, safety. Then another 30 on basic kite flying, typically including touch and go's. After that we no longer do body dragging, we try to go straight into board starts, which I have found to be very successful. Typically a student will be riding upwind after their 2nd lesson, if conditions, have been good.
