Does anyone know anything about the USCG Auxiliary? My uncle served in the USCG and recommended it to me, since I have anxiety I decided myself I wasn't fit for military service at this point, but love the USCG and the water. Was wandering if anyone here served with the USCG Aux. Is it worth it? Has anyone ever worked with them?

I got a series question for veterans or active service people of any branch. Would u recommend army or coast guard I want to go into army but mom wants coast guard for obvious mom reasons. Im 17 and already talking to army recruiters I need y'all's input thank you.

So once I submit the application, and they want me to come in for an interview let’s say in Miami. But I live in Georgia, and I have no transportation. How would I get there and back home?

Hey! I figure I'm interested in this branch the most. But I figured that I'm already on a good track to College and I feel like active duty would just lag any opportunities for me to get a certain job I like. Is being a reservist for 8 years possible? Also, how do I get into PSU? What is probably the best engineering related job in the corps?

I got disqualified for an astigmatism issue. Apparently the astigmatism in my right eye was too severe, other than that I had an 89 on the ASVAB and am in perfect physical/mental health. My recruiter told me after my urinalysis comes back and my physical is accepted he can see about helping me get a waiver. Anybody have experience with this and know if it’ll actually work or what the chances are of this working out for me are. For the past month all i’ve been doing is learning about the coast guard and studying for my asvab so it definitely hit me hard when I got disqualified from service. Hopefully it works out for me though, any info or experience would be greatly appreciated!
