Great video. I've made all of these mistakes. The worst feeling is pairing down the end grain and having your board split. Thanks for your explanations and suggestions. It never occurred to me to get in there with a knife, great advice

You are the onlyone i understand what you do. Not the talking ( my english is absolutly terrible ) but the doing. Now i tryed again, and again and again... finaly i think i got it. My 3rd try looks realy nice ( this time in softwood) yes i know gabs, of the line, sawing bad, much chisseling, but the trying witch the chissel was the big PROBLEM. but i got it. Do u have videos from realy right planeing the wood?

11:56 It looks like there would have been enough material for a carefully performed cut with a sharp, thin sawblade. Any advice against removing the most part with a saw, if applicable?
