Please remember that the Catholic Church is composed mainly by three actors: the Clergy (aka priests, Pope, etc), the Laity (aka those people who were baptized but aren't Clergy), and the Holy Spirit.
The Clergy of the Catholic Church are made by humans who are fallible. Some are bad, and taint the rest.
Thus when you read this priest did this or the Vatican did that. It's the Clergy who has the responsibility.
Abandoning the Church because of the actions of some bad priests is like leaving a country because the wrong president got elected. Instead you stay in and fight from the inside.

As a young traditionalist, catholic, I very much believe that in fifty years we will be what Pope Benedict predicted as, "The Smaller, but more faithful Church."
