How To Sign Into Windows 11 Automatically Without Password [Tutorial]

Yes, we know. Having to enter your Windows password each time you boot up can be a hassle. You have to carefully type it in a field where by default it appears as a series of asterisk characters. So if you're in a hurry, you can easily mistype it (more than once), and that gets annoying.

Obviously, the main purpose of the password is to protect your PC from prying eyes. If you work in an office or other location with people milling about, you'll want to password-protect Windows so no one can peek at your documents, files, and other information. But if you work alone and aren't worried about other people accessing your PC, you can disable the Windows sign-in process.

Regardless of whether you use Windows 11 or Windows 7, you may want to automatically login without entering a password, while keeping your existing user account password. You may have a long password, and you are using a PC where only you have access. If this is what you want, then you are in luck. With the help of a hidden Windows app named netplwiz, you can set Windows to automatically log you in without typing the password, each time you start your PC. Here is how it's done:

This brief tutorial shows students and new users how to login to Windows 11 without typing passwords each time.

The Windows login screen is a security feature that helps protect your PC from others. Someone will need to know your password before they are allowed to sign in.

This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 11 operating system (Home, Professional, Enterprise, Education) from all supported hardware manufactures, like Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, and Samsung.

Jeff, I was in msconfig and started to boot with original drivers, when the computer rebooted, the sign on pin screen appears but, says "something happen and your PIN isn't available. Click to setup your PIN again. But, if you click that it just goes back to that screen. How do you get back into Windows?

Thanks for this tutorial! However the option to uncheck the box is not available on the pc I’m trying this on. I’ve tried every other workaround. The user I’m trying this for is blind and cannot read or write and needs to login without a pincode so that computer programs can automatically start after turning the pc on. Does anybody have any other suggestions? Thanks!
