I have always respected men that do whatever they have to, to provide for themselves, and their family. There's nothing more wholesome in life than that...🙂

We must learn from these moments in history: no matter what we wear or believe, death is the bitter reality we all face. So, let us work for peace and cherish the short time we have.

They are all so well dressed and even wear hats ! Love the horse and buggy days . Although I know many horses were abused!

I see dead people. 😢 They had dreams and goals: they loved and were loved. Where are they now, dust? Or maybe they were infinite spirits that rest in the arms of God. ❤

I remember when I was seeing shoe shiners when I was growing up - they were usually found in railway stations because that's where the heaviest foot traffic was.

I remember my dad gave me a shoe shining box. Wish I had more respect for it.

I love these videos.
I polished and cleaned up my leather boots the other day
It really is very satisfying
The leather is great and waxy again.

I can remember when shoe shines could be found on streets and corners, usually downtown or in barber shops...

I suppose there must still be places where they practice their trade, but I wouldn't know where...

I still have my fathers polish box, just like those in the video; though he never practiced the trade, he did always keep his shoes well polished, a habit I suppose he learned during his WWII service.
