i procrastinated callin for weeks assuming it would be a major pain as most support are!..Kiddo was right...after about 10-15min hold, chick asked verification questions & fixed in less than 30 seconds! Now I feel stupid not tryin this first...hahaha

My whole ID isn’t disabled it’s just Apple Store & iTunes 😭

edit: now it’s been a year, still disabled. I may need to find a way to restart my security questions
Edit 2: (3 years) I’ve given up and just used another email to download stuff

I did it by offloading (not deleting) the app, then reinstalling it.
You go to settings and go to generals, click the tab that says “offload” then choose the app that you want to update and then press offload.
Then right after press reinstall, and it reinstalls updated.
Side note: it should save your data in the app, and only works if you want to update it.

After two months of having this problem and being hesitant to call them, I finally did today and the lady who called was super nice. She helped me fix my account again and now I can download or update apps again! Thanks for the help, kid!
