How to Fix Disabled iPad / iPhone - Using a Windows computer (This works for iPad or iPhone)

If you own an iPad and have forgotten your Passcode, this video will show you how to restore it to factory settings. This will involve installing iTunes on a Windows computer. I have tried several methods but it works every time when I use this method.

Warning - This will remove all data from your device.

For an iPhone name the folder to iPhone Software Updates

If your iPhone/iPad has an iCloud account logged in, you will be asked to enter password after completing this video.

Also, I was using Win10 x64 and it went a bit differently for me... after restoration, the hello screen appeared only on my iPhone, iTunes said there was some error and supposedly it failed, but when I already felt disappointed, it turned out the phone was unlocked anyway... and I could normally reconfigure it, after which I could sync it normally with iTunes
Just saying in case anyone else had the same error and thought it had failed whereas it might have actually worked

Brilliant, indeed the only thing that worked. Have in mind to use a proper cable when connecting the ipad with computer. generic ones might not work (happened to me). Thanks CAlexis
