This is why you don't go to Jiffy Lube

So I'm going to park my car in Target and I see this lady's car smoking a Mercedes E350 2009 in really nice condition she doesn't know how to open up the hood but it's steaming like crazy. So I pull over and do it for her and notice that the cap is off to the left and there's engine sprayed all over her engine compartment she had just left Jiffy Lube for an oil change and they forgot to put the cap on it's sprayed oil everywhere this is why I don't trust $5 mechanics you're always here bad stories well here's one that happened July 5th 2019 New Jersey

Stopped at Jiffy lube for a quick oil change before heading out of town a few months back. 2008 BMW X5 4.8i Takes 8.5qt of 5w-30. They told me I needed 10qts of 0w-40 and quoted me at about $270. Needless to say I delayed my trip a few hours and changed it myself for less than $80… do your own maintenance people, oil changes are simple

Still don't get why anyone thinks a quick oil change place is a good idea especially when you can be a tech with no experience. Just do it yourself.

Edit: I see all the replies, you need to remember that a luxury car is not just expensive to buy but it is also expensive to maintain.

Thats why you have to use a Euro shop, they use German torque specs and verify the oil filter, plug, and cap are "gutentight"

Remember when they marked the oil filters and took it into jiffy lube and found out they were not changing it
