Successfully crate trained my 8 week old golden retriever puppy within three days

Crate training has benefits for puppies and dogs. To successfully crate train Benji, we put a thin and small bed in the crate, use a divider to create a smaller space for him, put a towel from our breeder with the smell of his mom and siblings and cover the crate using a crate cover.

Our 10 month old adopted dog was crate trained within two days. Followed some training videos and worked perfectly. She cried at first but with positive reinforcement and treats she now finds confort on the crate when we tell her. Now we only crate her for times when eating and we need her out of the kitchen. But she sits there and now just chills and when we let her out she get praise.

my 8 week old pup was trained within days to. just start off making the crate a happy place to be and then when u do have to lock them in they are much less likely to cry. our little guy whimpers for about 10 sec then lays down

I love how he just sits outside. My 9 week old rottweiler is eating any and everything she sees. Between chasing insects and eating plants I can’t look away for a sec.

Pro tip for new puppy owners: place something larger than the crate under the crate cover so that the sides don’t touch the crate walls. This way the puppy cannot pull the crate cover into the crate and chew it up. This is more applicable if you want to use blankets or something similarly soft, some crate covers have more of a tarp feel, and are more difficult for the puppy to grab on to. All these people saying their dogs whine, cry, howl or bark in the crate haven’t conditioned their dog to the crate the way you should, instead of sitting here crying on YouTube comments go train your dogs properly and you won’t have an issue, most of the people in the comments shouldn’t even own dogs 🤦🏼‍♂️😂

My 4 month old is struggling a little. It’s me I’m sure. He has a crate during the day while I work. A big circular gate with toys during the evenings and he sleeps in a playpen in my room at night. He whines a little with the crate and gate when I’m out of his sight. Still struggling with urinating but pooping he has. He urinates like every hour. He loves water. I cut him off at 7 for bed. I can’t take him out every time. He makes it to the pad mostly.

Great job on the pup. You called once and the pup had a second to process it and come to bed. Obviously that dog feels safe happy to lay it's head down.

Mine has learned as well at 8 weeks he’s a smart dog just got him yesterday
I will also have it open and outside when he wants to chill and he will go in with no issue same at bed time
