You left out the part where the puppy goes completely ape shit when you close the door and walk away! New puppy owner here and this is tough!

The dogs you get to do this are like A+ students lol. Can you show how you deal with difficult or stubborn learners?

My oldest dog has trained all my other dogs to sleep in crate. She's also helped with potty training them. I owe a lot to her! She's such a good dog and older sister. She's also the beta in their pack and the alpha when I'm not around.

My newest dog is so adorable about his crate. He has picked up all these little signals that it is about to be crate time. My favorite is when I use a remote to turn off the air conditioner before bed. He can look dead asleep on the couch or wherever but the second he hears that beep he hops off the couch and RUNS into his crate. I like to say I have a remote control doggy. A few times we forgot to close the crate door at night because he does everything but close the door. And now I am thinking how to train him to do that too, hahaha;)

I started crate training right away when we got our puppy, and thanks to your advice (videos with Inertia and your books), he slept in it peacefully on the first day being here, while everything was/is still really new for him! Thanks a lot, Zak, you made our life a 100 times easier. :)

My pup loves his crate, when we are at work that is his safe place that he goes to when we are gone. He has the freedom to go in and out on his own at any time. It also allows me to just place my camera pointed at his crate and I can watch him at work. He’s always napping in his crate :)

Thank you for your videos! I just got a 8 week shepsky pup! I've have her 4 days and started the crate the first day only at nighttime. She's been absolutely amazing so far! No crying until 3 hours when it's potty time 💜 She even went into the crate for her nap time on her very own! I left the door open always and she chose to go in. Makes me so happy! I'm excited to use your other videos for training!

Thank you this really works! We started off by leaving the door open and every time our puppy walked in by herself she got lots of praise and a small piece of a treat. We went for a nice long walk in the evening and when we came back and it was time for bed she didn't make a sound! It's our first night and she's been sleeping soundly with a few exceptions of very minimal whimpering when she goes back in the crate after her potty break. It only lasts for about 5 minutes and she doesn't bark or scratch at her crate she just gets tired and falls back asleep.

Fantastic! My new puppy loved her crate by that same evening! This was perfect to introduce her. By day 2 she was going into her crate on her own to sleep. Her crate is now her safe place! Zak you are so amazing!

we took a frightened, fearful rescue who loves his crate. it was his refuge to chill, relax and recharge whilst we worked on his issues and built his confidence. He still loves his crate. Crate training also helps dogs if they have to be crated during treatments for illnesses/injuries. We are currently crate training our newest addition and he is coming on very well. your video had a couple of tips I havent done before so will be implementing them too.

Every morning I’ll say it’s time to get ready for school and my now 1 year old coonhound will go straight into her crate and chills until I’m done, I couldn’t have made that happen if it wasn’t for your training advice so Thanks Zak George, all your videos have made my dog into a well behaved very sociable dog and I love all the positivity in your videos because that’s what dogs need, they are so much like kids and when you steer them in the right direction they turn out to be pretty great

Puppy crate training done easy: Keep the puppy in a room with a hard floor with a crate containing a blanket or pillow, play with her and feed her till she gets tired. If the crate is the only comfortable place she will go there and of course praise her. Repeat and she'll be crated trained in a matter of days.

Yes my foster girl Allegra would rather lay in her crate than anything else! She loves it so much! Perfect for a stray dog that never had her own space.
