#WolfManMovie comes alive in theaters January.

From Blumhouse and visionary writer-director Leigh Whannell, the creators of the chilling modern monster tale The Invisible Man, comes a terrifying new lupine nightmare: Wolf Man.

Golden Globe nominee Christopher Abbott (Poor Things, It Comes at Night) stars as Blake, a San Francisco husband and father, who inherits his remote childhood home in rural Oregon after his own father vanishes and is presumed dead. With his marriage to his high-powered wife, Charlotte (Emmy winner Julia Garner; Ozark, Inventing Anna), fraying, Blake persuades Charlotte to take a break from the city and visit the property with their young daughter, Ginger (Matlida Firth; Hullraisers, Coma).

But as the family approaches the farmhouse in the dead of night, they’re attacked by an unseen animal and, in a desperate escape, barricade themselves inside the home as the creature prowls the perimeter. As the night stretches on, however, Blake begins to behave strangely, transforming into something unrecognizable, and Charlotte will be forced to decide whether the terror within their house is more lethal than the danger without.

Directed by Leigh Whannell

Honestly, why are today’s movies so damn dark? I don’t mean dark as in depressing; I mean dark as in you can’t see what the eff is going on half the time.

Okay, SOLD. The shot at 00:42 is a perfect example of how to build suspense without actually showing the creature. The rest feels like a terrifying walk in the forest at night.

My only worry is by the time he transforms the movie will have like 10 minutes left

This isn’t going to be a wolf man transformation in the traditional sense like we’d normally expect. It looks like a tragic slow deterioration/metamorphosis very much like David Cronenberg’s The Fly. I think that’s a cool take on the character. Leigh Whanell is really talented so I’m looking forward to his vision for it.

Watched it last night and it's a great movie. Suspenseful and great acting. I would like to watch it a second time. That says it all.

It might be good. just wish we saw a fully transformed wolfman. still looks like a balding bridge troll to me.

I can’t believe we get a Robert Eggers “Nosferatu” and a Leigh Whannell “Wolf Man” within a month of each other.

That changing scene reminds me of the amazingly underrated “the fly” by cronnenberg… and looking forward to that. It is a great thing they are keeping the final change to the movies! And cannot praise enough that scene when his human side is trying to listen and looking like he is losing the control to the animal side, awesome and adds to the incredible psychological impact of this movie. I feel that this and nosfetatu will be a huge and great back to back! Wolfman and Dracula 💯

They already remade "The Wolfman" in 2010. And being a lifelong
werewolf fan, I call the 2010 version as the greatest werewolf
movie of all-time"!! It's a true classic.

What sucks here is the family is going to be dealing with both the father and the one who turned him.

Making the prediction now that it’s going to have the father fighting the one who turned him.

I’m going to watch it simply because I’m a horror fanatic. I watch them all good bad and ugly.

Definitely gonna check this out. Not completely sold on the look but I know it is not the final look of Wolf Man.

Just a short version of the entire movie. Thanks.

Hope I'm wrong, but it looks like this film will portray a slow, permanent change as opposed to the normal temporary one

Alright I’m sold. This is the best looking werewolf movie I’ve seen since An American Werewolf in Paris.

I'll stick to the Del Toro film from what almost 15 years ago

How did we go back?

Can we PLEASE just get a single movie that doesn't rely on the same old tropes we've been wallowing through for the past 20 years?

Cinematography looks good… and effects… whether it comes together is to be seen… it all rests on whether wolf is believable… acting looked good
