No triangle needed. After drawing, but before confirmation, hit the little minus symbol that pops up. Let's you customize plot size.

It also causes two families to become artisans when upgrading the plots

Wait until this guy realises you don't need to make triangular plot sizes to get double family plots

Do keep in mind that having huge vegi farms also takes away the time spend at the job they are assigned too.

You dont need to make awkward shapes for 2 houses, once u select the plot of land u can hit the minus or plus symbol to increase or decrease the amount of burgage plots on that land, i typicaly build 4 right off the bat as double housing each, also if ur land is infertile make large plots of houses over the top, it ignores the grounds fertlisation rates

The first veggie farms shown are actually ideal size… the massive ones at the end generate less due to walking. And u only need to select less plots to make double housing.

Yea I have almost thousand with this strat, but you will get more double plots with more space in the back if you decrease size button after placing four corners then clicking the minus next to the build button. Have fun.

I'm pretty sure the burgage plot DOES still consume 2. You can check the actual consumption at the market. I had 4 unaccounted for food being consumed and I can only guess that my 4 double burgage plots were consuming 1 more each.

Size also matters for orchards. But this also explains why my new settlement isn't doing so hot 😂

I wouldn’t make the plots so long to make it easier for the peasants

Something to take note of, if you have massive gardens and the families of the houses are taking too long to harvest, families assigned to farm houses will help harvest when they do not need to work on their farms

I think my grandfather did this in real life. He and the neighbors built 1 house and split it in 2. We even had the giant veggie fields.

I love how it looks, like everybody has a lil farm, i think I'll make a farming district with this.

I only make super big extensions when the plot is for non artisan jobs. Chickens and veggies grow passively. You don’t need a huge backyard as a blacksmith because it doesn’t affect productivity at all.

Level 3 burgage plots double your family capacity. If you have the housing extension, it goes from 2 families to 4 on a level 3 upgrade.

I once made an Orchard the size of 4 Morgans to supply my town with apples

Build a circle road then build those double burgage plots around it, set them to vegs and apples.

the grazing field traingle is also crazy like a slither of land in a hige traingle is 100 capacity. You can stack like 100 of them easily.

This is game changing for me. I always run out of food, fuel is never an issue food is always an issue.

you dont need to make triangles, just make the fronts wider, if you don't like the point that it is anchoring on, put a road there and create a corner anchor spot, repeat until you get the burgage with the extension.

And the extra family will help with whatever improvement is on the plot, helps especially with a large orchard or farm
