How does she write backwards like that?

Short and sweet! This was the third video I checked out, the shortest and the best! Sometimes you just don't need waffle. :-)

I use to teach math. Imaginary and complex numbers(a combination of real and imaginary numbers) are used extensively in some scientific and engineering disciplines. A good example would be electrical engineering where imaginary numbers are used extensively.

When do you use it ? In what context ? Why is it needed ?

Maybe you should have covered two examples.  -16 was nice because it is a perfect square.  What do you do when you have a number like square root of -5?  Thanks in advance, if anyone has a legitimate response.

Didn't understand anything . Still confused about the negative no.

saying that i=sqrt(-1) is completely wrong. the only right way to make a definition of i is by saying i²=-1. a little example of why i=sqrt(-1) is wrong:

i=sqrt(-1) => i²=-1

so with this definition, i²=-1 and i²=1, which means our preposition, i=sqrt(-1), is wrong

i always thought that the square root of a negative gives an error meaning there s no answer as it is not possible

I know this, I thought it was something different or a solution to negative square-roots

The video is on finding square roots of negative numbers, which means that the radicand must be negative in order to make this video valid.
Bad comment.

It’s nice to make up things to make a human brain feel better. But in reality this has no functional purpose in quantum or non quantum math
