I am a dentist. To answer the question regarding staightening the girls teeth without pulling teeth. In this case its too crowded that tooth removal is needed. If you only did IPR you would have remove too much tooth structure which will compromise the teeth and sensitivity. But yes in some cases IPR is all that maybe needed.

What he didn't mention is that overcrowding in the front teeth could be solved by uprighting the posterior teeth or expanding both arches. This will create lots of space and maybe do a little less IPR 😅

Yes, it's true because my otherr orthodontist tried to remove six permanent teeth and just put on the braces. He was expecting my father to pay 14, 000 dollars for the surgery and the braces.

Until, we went to a new orthodontist. He told us that what is doing is wrong. He said that it can effect my mouth in the long run. He said once those teeth are gone; they won't be able to grow back. Also, said that it can effect my jaw too, for I had a cross bite and an under bite. So, he was manage to save all of my teeth and my Dad only paid 6, 000 dollars.

Thank God I left my old orthodontist.

Sounds like shaving part of the teeth off would make your teeth super sensitive and youd be at a higher risk of tooth decay

Ipr, against what my dentist and orthodontist assured me, actually made my teeth super susceptible to cavities ! Literally turned black on one tooth where they shaved off my enamel(Bentist says ‘polished’ in this video.. they are not ‘polishing’ in between your teeth, they are literally sanding your enamel off with a small disc saw to allow an extra 0.5mm of room to move the teeth.

I'm not a dentist but i think braces could fix this. I had a similar situation where my baby canine never fell out because my permanent canine was in the wrong spot and pushing against my lateral incisor making it crooked. My dentist had to perform a minor surgery to open my gums and reach the canine.

Then she attached a bracket and chain to the tooth. My gums healed and covered the tooth and bracket, while the chain was sticking out of my gums allowing the dentist to slowly pull my tooth into place with every visit. It took a long time because my canine was pretty much right beside my nose. Even now, my teeth arent perfectly straight yet and it's been about 4-5 years.

I'd imagine that the teeth in the video can go through a similar process and the tooth can be pulled the tooth to the proper position but it would take a long time. ( Maybe even longer than 5 years) Sometimes i wish my dentist just pulled my canine and gave me an implant 😭 but we should treasure our real teeth 🙌
