How to Permanently Disable Windows Defender on Windows 10

If you want to disable Windows Defender then this video is for you, if you are installing Bidefender of other antivirus software, this should disable Windows Defender for you automatically. If you want to disable windows disable it manually then I will show you how.

Computer Configuration / Administrative Templates / Windows Components / Windows Defender Antivirus

Look for turn off windows defender antivirus

Select Enabled

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender

New, DWORD (32-bit) Value and name it DisableAntiSpyware

Set the value from to 1

Well done Brien, the group policy did not work for me anymore since the upgrade to 1909 build, the reg one works great. Deleting files without your permission is just not on. Anyway thanks from Dublin, I subscribed

worked for me: go to gedit and do what video says and install avast, disable all modules, do what you want and enable the modules again

thanks it really worked after I was trying so hard to disable windows defender in its option but after trying it in regedit I disable it. just addiction tip if you wanna return it to normal change the 1 value to 0 or did the registry key you have made. Thanks again

i guess it doesnt work anymore, when i restarted the computer, DisableAntiSpyware is gone from the regedit. And defender keeps turning on...

I'm trying to download Kaspersky total security. But After downloading it. when you click to run setup.. And I get is a quick flash of a box.. and nothing else.
I think Defender is blocking all exe files from opening.
Because I cant open any.

I have not did any updates that I know of... On day it just decided no more .exe 4 u...
