Okay but After The Fall is legit a BANGER game! What's YOUR favorite VR game?

I actually love how they have those ear buds. Simple, no wires hanging. No heavy headset on top of the vr. Sound quality is decent. The rubber peice on the head set works really good as well, totally blocks outside light.

The cheap rubber is a big improvement actually it helps mitigate the external light in the room. That’s the only viable option we have to feel like you are in the game without catching a side glimps of your lights in room. It needs to be like a curtain for all kinds of heads face etc I love it because the last vr I had did not have it which takes you out of the experience

I got the psvr2 for Gt7. It rocked my world. The next day I spent 1700 on a wheel, shifter and seat. I’ve had it for three days and its been incredible.

I don't think it feels cheap. I think the materials and design was intentional to make it light and comfortable. Initially it felt like it put too much pressure on my nose but I soon figured out how to get the headset sitting comfortably.

As many others have mentioned I wouldn't bother with the stereo ear buds. Use the Pulse Headset.

Also, relative to competitors with this kind of hardware, its not expensive. I'm glad they went for a higher end hardware and higher cost. I wouldn't have bothered with it otherwise. The quest 2 isn't really the same market in my opinion.

Although I've tried various VR headsets I've never bought into it because the price, hardware and game availability wasn't where I wanted it. PSVR2 ticks my boxes with price and hardware so I'm going to support it and hopefully the games will come. I also hope the product is successful so we get more VR games across all hardware.

Hey Wood, just wanted to throw in that one benefit for gesture based controls in VR is that they reduce motion sickness! It's helpful because your brain has a physical motion to relate to the motion it sees in the headset. When the motion is caused by something more passive like pushing an analog stick, you're more likely to get sick. Over time you can certainly get used to the latter though.

Started to watch someone play Horizon VR who was excited about it and it was such a blast. Made my partner rethink whether having a VR would be fun after all. Not that we can afford one but before seeing the gameplay they also never wanted one. I'm really excited to see where the tech is headed for gaming in the next 5 to 10 years, not just in regards to VR but in general.

Don't need to use the headphones if you already have a soundbar for your TV with surround sound. The PS5 can output 3d sound through it, the same or better as you would have through the headphones. Also those holes in the band are the holders for the earbuds, which BTW you don't to have plugged into the headset if you use your own surround setup. Hope this helps anyone that wondered.

I can't put this headset down. I love the launch game lineup and I can't wait for more stuff like The Walking Dead and Firewall. It won't replace my normal video gaming but it provides enough of a difference to keep me pulling it off the shelf. Absolutely love it.

The headset was definitely designed to be used in conjunction with the pulse 3D headphones. I didn’t even bother plugging in the included ear buds and I’ve had 0 issues with sound.

Resident Evil Village VR looks incredible and apparently RE4 is getting a VR mode that will be free dlc eventually so keep an eye out for that

It’s my first time experience with VR of any kind, I got the new PSVR2 and, let’s say I was crazily amazed, I suffer from insane insane motion dizziness and didn’t get much of it from VR2, I bought the kayak game and was blown away by how clear and fluid it is. Also it doesn’t need a dedicated monitor for it which I just learnt, you just need the headset itself as a screen.

Psvr2 is great. Its a really impressive bit of kit. And the current library is actually pretty strong, GT7 is an amazing game in VR. Horizon is cool showcase, albeit linear. And stuff like no man's sky and RE8 are great. Even the Star Wars upgrade is v good. Everything I've played has been impressive and I Still want to try Moss 1 and 2 and Rez infinite. And I'm really looking forward to Twister Metal Vr.. which is heavily rumored. Psvr2 just needs some more announcements...who knows... maybe it will be a fleeting success and forgotten in 2 years..but so far its excellent and has tons of potential. I prefer it over my PC headsets

Ok this is the best vr video I have seen. Showing how your playing and the screen at the same time is very helpful

This headset is amazing in my experience. Crazy good looking, quality build, inside out tracking, controllers last plenty long for me and work incredibly well. I’m thoroughly impressed with it. I lold a little bit when this guy follows up “this is over priced” with “this is a pretty affordable way to do this”

6:53 It's not technically black-and-white but infrared; you're seeing a very low-spectrum light band invisible to the naked eye, but in this mode you can see all kinds of IR signals.
For example, try looking at your phone with its screen off while in this IR mode; you will likely see a blinking light for determining if you're looking at your phone. You can also clearly see a ring of lights in the controllers themselves, & other tech.

The PSVR2 actually feels like a premium product, if you watch the official PSVR2 breakdown video they dismantle the whole headset into its constituent parts, its a miracle of engineering and weighs less than the original 2016 PSVR, I am glad Sony built this headset because if one of the big PCVR or Meta HMD manufacturers produced it they would be asking a lot more money for it, just look at the $1500 Quest Pro for instance and that does not even have OLED-HDR displays.

I'm assuming the earbuds are so crap because they're placeholder for what they really want you to be using, which is the Pulse 3D headset
