My girlfriends father had Father Andy as a priest in Williamsport.

Her father is divorced and remarried and when he asked father Andy whether he and his wife could receive communion Father Andy said “follow
Your conscience” and allowed them communion.

It’s a sad, sad world we live in. May the real Sacred Heart of Jesus help us and protect our children.

David, while I would never doubt your sincerity or commitment to your Catholic faith or that of your followers, mainly because as Matthew said in the bible (Standard American Catholic version),
7 “Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get. 3 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye, ’ when there is the log in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.”

Therefore I must question how you or any of your devout listeners are able reconcile the principles of your faith with spreading inaccuracies and lies about a wonderful priest and the many members of his parish who give of their time and talents to serve their church, their faith, their fellow parishioners and their community with acts of service.

First, and what I believe to be your most egregious, statement, “Children are taken away from the mass to an “offsite location” where they “do strange things to them.” Is not just slanderous, but an outright lie and most unchristian.

I attend mass there every week and have NEVER witnessed children “taken away” during mass. That is not to say, that at a mass I didn’t attend, that perhaps children in a pre-first communion or a pre-confirmation class did not make a presentation or participate in part of the mass and return to their classroom, but that would be a rare occasion.

And to that end, the CCD classrooms are a short hallway away from the church and taught by people of good faith. To accuse these dedicated servants of Jesus of anything other than a devotion to God, their faith and the children of the parish with no just cause as pure conjecture is unchristian at best at worst defamation worthy of civil action.

By the way it is important to note that the number of children participating in their CCD program has grown exponentially under the prayerful leadership of Father Andrew.

Second, to imply that for an attractive young woman to be a minister of music she must cover up from head to toe and presumably be fresh faced, with unremarkable features, with a head veil so that you can keep your less than christian thoughts in check is ridiculous, maybe you are the one your good Christian followers should examine.

Third, it is not questionable to any person with a reasonable mind, that clergy and religious would befriend, and form very close (follow me here you judgement making Catholics of good faith, thinking only in the basest of terms) relationships (one might say even say sibling like relationships) with other priests and sisters because they take vows of celibacy, and live in community. In the absence of a spouse, who would they rely on, but a close friend or friends who are fellow clergy or religious. Who are you to make assumptions about the nature of their relationship. You have never met either man.

Their ministries are in different states, so unless they both possess Padre Pio’s power of bilocation, it would be impossible for them in their earthly forms to cohabitate.

If they like to vacation or even take regular respite in the same spot, and as friends choose to both invest in a property there, I see nothing untoward about it. I question you as a good Christian that would jump to making assertions about two good men who you have never met, or never observed.

Even worse, to go so far as to invade their privacy and publish their address is so unkind.

You could have redacted the numbers, if you were so anxious to craft your, (to be kind) misinterpretation of the facts, but instead you chose to do the wrong thing. If instead each of them chose to buy their own home in the same place they enjoy, they would instead be accused by you of embezzling church funds to enjoy the highlife rather than living simply.

I think it is unconscionable and again unchristian for you or for anyone to pick and curate information to make lies and slander appear to be “facts.”

You may or may not have heard of the shortage of priests in the church. Most certainly in part due to people like you who instead of choosing to worship in a way that brings you in closest communion with God, you instead choose to tear down good men of God like Father Andy (and Father Rich) not because of all the things you falsely accuse them of being and doing, but simply because they choose to worship in a way that you personally don’t find appealing. Again judging not by God’s standards but by man’s.

You mentioned that you find it disturbing that there’s some type of greeting among the parishioners BEFORE the beginning of mass. For your information Father Andy’s overriding messaging at every mass is that everyone in the seats is a disciple of God a disciple of Jesus. He encourages us at the beginning of mass to greet our neighbors, to go over to someone who seems to be in distress and ask them if they need help. To look at someone who seems lonely and go over and say hello. Then there is a period where he wants you to be quiet and be in communion to be ready for mass to begin. Yes, that sounds like an awful priest, encouraging people to reach out to their fellow man the way Jesus did. Imagine that. Oh and the humor, and the joyful music right, why would you or the Pope or God want people to be joyful in a mass praising God, right?

Oh then you claim to see no young people in church… The church is filled with young people. Try watching the mass every week where there is at least two or three baptisms every weekend.

You think the priest should turn toward Calvary and speak in Latin, and stick to “the book of laws” to make the twenty people seated in the near empty churches happy. Churches were getting emptier and emptier before Covid. Post Covid people aren’t coming back. Men aren’t becoming priests, and there is a crisis in the Catholic Church with attendance.

However, since Father Andy has been at Sacred Heart over 500 new families have joined. Not 500 people, 500 families. Summer camps have over 100 children in attendance and as I mentioned earlier their CCD classes have grown in numbers since he’s there.

People walk out of his masses energized with the desire to serve other people, to be disciples of Christ. High school kids are volunteering for the church! Father Andy, is not the problem with the Catholic Church, Father Andy is the solution to what is wrong with the Catholic Church.

People do not want to sit in the pews unengaged and bored. People want to feel like they are part of the answer, they want to feel like they are serving Christ in the way that Christ served others.

People at Sacred Heart fully embrace discipleship. The ministries are teeming with volunteers. Masses are full! That is unfortunately not the case in many other churches today.

You judge away, because as I said earlier, unlike you, I realize it is not my job to judge you. God will judge you, as he will judge me, and as he will judge all of us. But as it always is - the proof is in the truth not in the lies that you spread.

I found myself in Peckville for a wedding that weekend and actually attended this Mass - I thought Father Andy was fantastic. I can appreciate someone preferring a traditional Mass, but his Mass was, in my opinion, fantastic. I enjoyed his homily, and there was a true and noticeable sense of community at this church.

In this video David teaches us all as Catholics how NOT to act and speak about others.

I’ve been so blessed to be part of an FSSP parish for the past 3 years. I’m sorry but now the typical NO mass seems completely dystopian to me. How did my family survive that for so long? I remember that every Sunday had its attending anxiety, anticipating damage control, struggling to keep my eyes closed so as not to be distressed by what we were seeing. Now I look forward to mass, and find it to be a glimpse of heaven.

How DARE you David make comments about the young woman singing!! You sit high and mighty then make comments about her figure and state she’s “a distraction” because of her “tight clothing”. Shameful. Gross.

Pretty hateful of you…not very Christian like. Looks like his parish adore him. He’s a human. More than I can say for you. I’ll pray for you. You need it.

Try going to a Latin Mass where the total orientation is on God & His worship! Follow along in the Latin missal; English translation is beside each prayer. It is supremely beautiful-there is NO such worship or prayers like this in the new Mas or Novus Ordo. The new Mass from Vatican Il was developed by Cardinal Bugnini AND Protestants! I believe all of the new masses are offensive to God. Try & count the differences between the Novus Ordo & the Traditional Latin Mass-it’s astounding! The traditional Mass had 17 exorcisms-the new Mass only 7! No wonder people fall away from the Church-they are not being adequately protected from evil in the new Mass!

Next question in the catechism it says as long as he says This is my body or this is my blood...these words are the words of consecration and at that point is when the Lord is present. In baltimore catechism it says "this is my body" and "this is my blood" is when the host is consecrated and transubstantiation takes place so I dont think it makes it invalid.

How do we know it’s NOT a valid Mass. only if they say “for All”?

It’s sad that you choose to browse YouTube and then give negative commentary about such a wonderful and faithful parish. Say what you want, Father Andy is bringing people back to the church in a time where the church needs it. Shame on you.

One more thing: Father's use of the "for all" in translating "pro multis, " is ideological. Modernists liked this translation because it suggests universalism. It is not, however, "invalidating." This had been an approved translation for a time, as David pointed out.

You are assuming they are lovers because they have a picture together?!?!? They’re friends. This is so sick. Leave him alone. You put his personal address on the internet. That’s not sane or normal behavior. You’re digging up personal stuff. Go preach the gospel with your time! You have all the time in the world to do this, instead of preaching God’s word.

The Mass is still valid if a priest says "for ALL." If it were invalid, that would mean all the Masses in the old English translation would have been invalid, including other languages that still, till today, have "for all" as the official translation.
