Former f and i guy. I like this conversion approach. Andy continues to tilt the energy forward and delivers value and creates curiosity - customer agrees with you to compare rates. Those are the BEST closes when the customer agrees with you.

“Nah, I dont want you running my credit. My credit union is already beating your manufacturers incentivized rates and I know you guys cant go any lower”. These role plays are not real. Customers dont just give you one objection to overcome and then just say “OK”.

Finally a good video from this guy that doesn't seem incredibly contrived. Sure, some people might have a comeback ready for that (I know jack about credit, I'm not American or in the market for a car), but I'd say it's a reasonable response that would probably work 9/10 times.

I promise I blow your mind?? If the customer has a limited credit but a high score and is looking at a vehicle with over 100, 000 miles... are you going to beat he's Credit Union rate? Sales people... don't tell customers what they want to hear! Be honest.

My biggest thing tho is most of the time you can’t beat what they say they have, cause most of the time it’s people with $1k down trying to get a $80k car for $300mo payments, it ain’t gonna happen and you can’t lie and say you can do it when we all know darn well no dealership can do that

Great response that can move the needle it has potential to be better as you use a lot of less effective verbiage like obviously, decision, and fair enough which they’re used to hearing. There is significantly more powerful ways to say what you’re saying so that you create more impact.

The problem w car sales and leasing is the sales guys don’t know what they are talking about most of the time. Just went to 2 Mazda dealers to lease a cx5. The first lease was option was 600 month. After the BS back and forth for 2 hours they were down to 379 a month. I asked what they based the the lease on the MSRP he said I don’t know. I said I would never pay MSRP. To make a long story short I went to another Mazda Dealership and found a sales guy who knew what he was doing. 388 month just taxes and fees down
