How to Encrypt your Android Phone or Tablet

Although encryption on Android protects your data from hackers or malicious person from getting information about you, it also has some flaws. First , Android encryption interferes with the performance of your Android device. It will make you device slower especially if you are running older version of Android. However with the Android Marshmallow, Google Android encryption has curbed the issue of slow performance although it is not guaranteed.

I'm not using a lock screen password but Encryption is turned on in Security under Settings on my Android phone. I may have accidentally turned it on as I was looking at things in the Security section for the heck of it. I can't turn it off. Is it true on newer Androids it is already set to on? It didn't start going through any processing thing just now but I'm worried if I turn off my phone and back on again I won't have access to my phone. Since I didn't set any lock screen password can I still access my phone with Encryption being on?Again I don't know if I just now turned Encryption on but I can't turn it off. I wish I hadn't looked at the security section as I think I accidentally turned it on but don't know if it already was on. Again I'm worried I won't be able to get back into my phone even if I didn't set a password and lockscreen with Encryption being on. Please help.
