If you encrypt LG G4 with 4 digit pin, it gives 30 attempts. What happens after all 30 fail. Are you locked out forever or can you restart phone and get another 30 again then keep restarting? I would hope you do NOT get another 30 attempts as I would have thought the limit protects againzst the otherwise easy brute force-ability of a 4 digit pin

why would you go through all that when you can just set up your fingerprint? or pin... Or is encryption something completely different then pin or fingerprint for unlocking

I'm not using a lock screen password but Encryption is turned on in Security under Settings on my Android phone. I may have accidentally turned it on as I was looking at things in the Security section for the heck of it. I can't turn it off. Is it true on newer Androids it is already set to on? It didn't start going through any processing thing just now but I'm worried if I turn off my phone and back on again I won't have access to my phone. Since I didn't set any lock screen password can I still access my phone with Encryption being on?Again I don't know if I just now turned Encryption on but I can't turn it off. I wish I hadn't looked at the security section as I think I accidentally turned it on but don't know if it already was on. Again I'm worried I won't be able to get back into my phone even if I didn't set a password and lockscreen with Encryption being on. Please help.
