Ultimate Grilled Cheese Sandwich Challenge w/ Kielbasy & Pierogies!!

A&Z #795 - Atlas and Mike Hornacek each vs Wheel Restaurant's "Skook" Ultimate Grilled Cheese Sandwich Challenge w/ Kielbasy & Pierogies in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. Back in October 2019 after getting home from my 3-country Asia trip, I flew up to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania so I could try two food challenges in the area, and then head over towards Philadelphia, PA for a few more. For event #3, I traveled from Pittsburgh, PA east to Pottsville, PA so I could attempt the newly enhanced "Skook" Ultimate Grilled Cheese Sandwich Challenge at the Pottsville location of Wheel Restaurant!! My friend Mike Hornacek and I each had 30 minutes to finish a supersized grilled cheese sandwich that featured 1lb of kielbasy and 10 delicious potatoes and cheese pierogies. There was also a 12oz bowl of tomato bisque soup with homemade croutons and a 12oz Yuengling lager beer. BIG thanks to everyone with Wheel Restaurant for the wonderful food and experience!! Wheel Restaurant's "Skook" Ultimate Grilled Cheese Sandwich Challenge ($40):

Wheel Restaurant began with a smaller grilled cheese sandwich challenge, and we helped them debut this newly enhanced "Skook" Ultimate Grilled Cheese Sandwich Challenge. The initial challenge featured this same thick-cut white bread from Minersville Bakery along with 24 slices of 6 different cheeses (Swiss, Muenster, white American, provolone, mozzarella, and cheddar). It now also features 1lb of kielbasy from Kowalonek's Kielbasy Shop and 10 potato and cheese pierogies from Mrs. T's Pierogies. Challengers have 30 minutes to finish the sandwich served with a 12oz bowl of tomato bisque soup, 6 large croutons, and a 12oz bottle of Yuengling lager beer. Winners receive the $40 meal free, a sweet t-shirt, and Wall of Fame!!
