Well my friends, in the aftermath of that eventful flight 8 I've got a mountain of spectacular stuff to catch you up on today. We are asking the big questions. Why Is Starship So Difficult to Get Right?Indeed, we dive right into this along with sharing a bunch of incredible views. Outside that, it has been an unusual but exciting one. It was looking like an action packed run a week ago, and we were not disappointed. We have the amazingness of Firefly and the Ghost Riders in the Sky mission with Blue Ghost, the final goodbye for the IM-2 mission with Athena and Intuitive Machines, SPHEREx and PUNCH, Crew-10 and a big shakeup for Relativity Space! Wow!

In an effort to simulate the harmonic stresses of flight the next ship will be mounted to a flat bed truck and driven through New Jersey.

Thank you Marcus. It's hard to keep up with so much news. Without you, it would be impossible.

I must admit that I also thought catching the boosters with the arms was fanciful but so glad to be proven wrong, it blows my mind to see it every time.

That photo of the 33 Raptors starting up was awesome! I’m surprised that the camera survived all that power and flames and thrust just a fantastic shot, to see it lifting off the stand in slow motion I just can’t find the words, maybe that shot on one of those metal wall pictures would be a nice addition to someones collection .

So nice that you can produce videos without constantly begging for like and subscribe every 5 minutes. As such, you have my subscribe!

That shot of the Earth during it's transit of the sun was mind blowing. I was outside watching the Lunar Eclipse from Kansas City. Amazing to think that there was something on the moon taking a photo at that exact time.

Push technology to its limits and everything has to go just right or disaster results. No room for error. Not unlike air travel, actually. In a year this stuff will look routine, but truly it never will be less than miraculous.

Even if Starship isn't fully sus'ed out, the booster catch success and operational functionality of SuperHeavy booster is outstanding. Even if SpaceX cut their losses right now and just started launching disposable Starships, the success of SuperHeavy has made this whole project more than worth it.
I know SpaceX won't quit until they get Starship re-usable but just saying if there was some critical need to get 100s of tons to orbit in a very short period of time, Starship and SuperHeavy could get the job done.

Another thing that increases toward the end of Starship's burn is the acceleration. The mass of the Starship upper stage is about 94.6% propellant! Toward the end of its burn, with most of that mass gone, Starship upper stage is accelerating HARD. At the time of the RUD, acceleration was at about 3.6 Gs, plus gravity of 1G at 96° attitude, a net total of 3.85 Gs. That's a lot of stress -- plus vibration. So things break.

SpaceX's engineers will fix it, but I wish Elon would focus on the important business of spaceflight, instead of chasing the Impossible Dream of "government efficiency." SpaceX seems to do better when Elon is hands-on.

You do a super good job of reporting on Spacex, thank you.

Looks like FireFly needs to take over all the future moon probes! Very awesome to see their competence and optimism in the craft, its capability and its landing ability. GIVE FIREFLY MORE
CONTRACTS AND MONEY!

Can’t start my Saturday properly without my Marcus House fix.

Only speculating, but I suspect the booster might have deliberately come in from the side a little, to avoid applying the blowtorch to the tower like it has on previous flights... they've done this enough times now that tweaking the trajectory to reduce damage seems like something they might start experimenting with.

Another great video, Marcus! Thank you and your incredible team for all of its hard work!

The headline stood out as an intriguing reflection on a society that poses that question. My perhaps slightly flippant response is: Because it's *Rocket Science*. I think we live in a reversed world compared to a century ago when people were perhaps more easily impressed due to their limited exposure to information. Today, Hollywood has repeatedly showcased the process of solving the toughest problems, making it feel like reality. Unfortunately, truly amazing achievements no longer leave much of an impression, while trivial accomplishments are overly celebrated and often mistaken as being equally valuable or difficult. Again, thank you for showcasing this difficult engineering problem.

Build those moon landers like a weeble, so they'll wobble but won't fall down

This channel is so much better than that other channel where the begging is on an unseen level. Thanks for the update Marcus, you rock!!!
