Complex Fourier Series Example Problem! (part 2)

preview_player
Показать описание
There is another version of Fourier Series: the complex form! In part 2, we apply our complex Fourier Series to a simple example problem (the same one we did in the sine and cosine Fourier Series!).

CORRECTION: @ ~ 3:00 the cosine formula should NOT have an i in the denominator (since it's the real part, not the imaginary part): cos(nx) = (1/2)*(e^(inx) + e^(-inx))

Questions about this or other math topics?? Leave a comment and let's tackle it together!

Thank you so much for this example! This was a great explanation. I just learned the derivation of the complex Fourier series and this video helped to solidify that knowledge.

Great Video. I really love it. It was so difficult for me to understand but the explanation is amazing. Just one thing which i dont understand in this video in the step 2 around 3:35 sec time. why you are writing -1/in with 1/2pi.
thanks

Seems like so many things to memorize in this exam, better to use (sine + cosine) or better to use complex? How do I decide when I first look at the question?
